Australian Registered Parties - Summary
With the election looming, I thought I would look into all the parties
and find out what each one promises (so I could make an informed decision). I
decided I would dedicate 35 minutes to this because I assumed that the AEC
would have a page that tells me all the registered parties AND link me to them.
Unfortunately, I was very, very wrong. So I decided that I would google each
individual party, find out what they stand for, write a short list
and provide a link in case anyone else has any interest in being an informed
voter. Obviously I didn't include everything they stand for but you get the
general feel for each party and can then decide to look into them further or
not. Sometimes I would find a party that was either super crazy or really
reasonable and I would write more about them. You will be able to tell the
difference.
Be warned, the list is long. It took much more than 35 minutes.
