Return to Sender

Return to Sender.

I like receiving mail. Call me old fashioned or attention seeking but I enjoy having a stranger deliver messages to me. I believe this stemmed from my letter writing days at high school when I would tune out in maths class and write a letter to my friend Jess. These letters would usually consist of me asking how her day had been despite having spent every second together since 9am. It’s nice to ask people questions that you already know the answer to.
Unfortunately for me not many people like to send me letters. The only letters I receive are from the bank, my super fund and university. I do not like receiving any of these letters. They are so formal. Never once has the bank sent me a handwritten letter that said, ‘Dear Vanessa, how are you? Oh my gosh Jake is looking hot today…’ If the bank sent me this I would most likely respond to them.   Sometimes when my friends go on holidays I beg them for postcards. I have 7 postcards from my friends. I also have about 10 postcards that I wrote to myself which have encouraging messages on them like, ‘YOU ARE EXCELLENT’ and ‘GOOD JOB’ . If I know my friends aren’t planning holidays I like to go online and buy items from ebay on the off chance that the sender will attach some sort of letter. I love letters. This is one of my personal favorites, it came when I purchased a vuvuzela for the world cup.

I have nothing else to write. Adios. (I am fluent in Spanish).

  1. Yo quiero una vuvuzela. Well I had one but I left it at a friend's house and I don't want it anymore because he's a douche. So I should say que quiero otra vuvuzela.
