Games of Uni.

Note: I already posted this on my other blog but I couldn't come up with something new to write so I thought I'd do some sneaky cut and paste trickery and post it here. It's still good.

Sometimes during lectures I zone out and do nothing. This is extremely unproductive so recently I have taken to making up and playing games through them. This is much more productive. And fun. Well not so much fun but better than staring at the roof and thinking about how to climb up through the vent.
1. The compass game.
What you'll need

• iphone
• two hands
• an ability to enforce the rules
• sometimes a partner

How to play
The aim of the compass game is to take screen shots of certain coordinates. For example, if your number is zero you need to get the compass sitting on exactly zero then keep it completely still while you try and take the screen shot. It's harder than it sounds. 
I assume it's more fun if you play with a partner. Person A will decide on the number and time how long it takes Person B to get the screen shot. Then Person B says a number and Person A has to get the screen shot while beating Person B's time.
2. Find the bird.
Although most people just look like people some people look like birds. This game requires for you to locate the said bird person and take a photo of them. Either that or you draw the bird person. Photos make it trickier but are also illegal as it is illegal to photograph someone without their permission.
3. Name the student.
During lectures that last longer than an hour I like to go through the rows and give people nicknames according to physical features. For example, the boy that looked like Prince Harry was called Prince Harry. The girl with the broken arm was called gimpy.
4. Sing Foreigner to the Foreigner.
What you'll need

• To know the lyrics of any foreigner song
• A foreigner

How to play

1. Locate the foreigner
2. Subtly move so you are sitting behind or next to the foreigner.
3. Hum a foreigner song
4. If you're brave you can sing it
5. If you can't hum or sing just sing it in your head. It's still enjoyable.

5. Locate the vent.
For this game you have to locate the vent and plan how you would climb into it in case of a zombie attack. You can also come up with a list of items that you'll need when the zombies attack. After you come up with the list you can think of how you would subtly get the items in the vent without alarming other students and getting the campus security called.
6. Lesbian or Boy.
Justin Bieber's hair style is quite popular amongst lesbians and the cool guys. This game requires you to spot the Justin Bieber hair and pick whether the person is a boy or a lesbian.
7. Spot the ginger.
You count all the people on the left hand side of the lecture theater write the number down then count how many gingers there are amongst them. Then do the same to the middle section and the right side. To spice it up you can change it from finding the gingers to finding the old people or find the people wearing their hair tied up. This is how you document it.

8. Draw the lecturer.
This game requires you to draw the lecturer. If you like you can take a photo so to prove to your friends that your drawing was accurate. This was mine today.
