The Bed-Nest
Do you ever remember a story and you're all like 'OH MA GAWD I NEED TO TELL SOMEONE' but you have no one to tell so you decide to write a blog about it. But then, when you realise you can't be bothered turning on your computer so you try to download the blogger app so you can write your story on your phone only to realise you can't download said app because you can't remember the password? And then when you finally reset the damn thing you've forgotten your story? Yeah, that just happened to me. Well not the forgetting part but the other things.
It's 2am on a Sunday and I'm bored. Not bored enough to leave the house and hit the 24 hour Kmart but bored enough to blog. I have nothing overly interesting to talk about because I've spent the last 2 hours having conversations with my brain. It's not about anything weird, just the usual brain/person conversation...
Brain: okay Vanessa, what's wrong?
Me: nothing...
Brain: then why are you still awake?
Me: *hugs spidey pillow*
Brain: stop thinking about things and sleep
Me: remember that time when...
Brain: go to sleep!
Me: I'm not tired!
Brain: your eyes are watering...
Me: NO
Brain: you can't keep them open
Me: shhhhh
Brain: you're talking to yourself
Me: hahahahahaha
So yeah, that's my night. Interesting I know. I bet you're wondering why you're still reading. Let me tell you a funny story that my friend told me about her childhood. I have some really cool friends. I know I often tweet things about not having any but that's really to make you guys feel less jealous about how cool my real life friends are. So anyway, I've had this friend I've since I was 8 but until she told me this story I never really understood why she wanted to be my friend. It's not that I have self esteem issues it's just that she's super funny and cool and I'm just slightly odd. But anyway, after she told me this it all made sense. I'm not sure how it came about but we were reminiscing about our childhood memories and I mentioned that when I was young I used to pretend I was a cat. I was really young, like 4 or something, so it wasn't too weird but I would try and eat food out of a bowl like an animal. Alright, so it was really weird. Whatever. The point is, my friend started laughing and told me about this time that she pretended she was a bird. She decided that because birds slept in nests, she had to sleep in a one too. But since she couldn't build her own nest she made her blankets into a little circle and forced herself to sleep in the bed-nest thing. She told me that she would wake up in the middle of the night with neck and back pain but she wouldn't set her bed straight because she was a bird and she slept in a nest.
I think this is the funniest story I've ever heard. If not the funniest it's certainly in the top 3. Anyway, I forgot my point so I'm going to sleep.
