The Extra Stage of Grief.
This one time I wrote a blog about grief and the stages of grieving. In that I think I covered the stages of grief quite well. However, what I didn't cover was the stage, months down the track, when you come home and look for your dead dog and call out her name because she didn't greet you at the door. That should be a stage. It'll be called the 'Look Who Has Gone Crazy' stage and if you don't get through it fairly quicky I'm pretty sure your family will have you admitted into a mental institution. So tonight I'm feeling sad. When I'm sad I like to fuel the sadness in hopes that I will get it out of my system. In a way, I'm sort of like those doctors back in the day who would bleed their patients. You know, to get the illness out of the system? I try to make myself as sad as possible to get it out of my system. Bleeding patients didn't work then and making myself excessively sad doesn't work now. We have come a long way in medical science. Regardless of whether it worked or not, I found these really cute pictures which I will now share with the class.
This one time I needed to drive to Ballarat to hand in my assignment. Seeing as Celine had dressed up for the day I decided that she should come with me. She loved road trips. I'd make her sit in the passenger seat and when I was focused on driving she would sneak her way onto my lap. I pretty much drove around like Britney Spears for hours at a time.
Driving to university.
Celine loves her people dress.
Celiney the Genius.
One last story then I'll quit my sulking. Celiney was quite vicious. And loud. And people hating. I liked this about her. Because we share those traits. Anyway, my favorite thing that she used to do was bark and attack all our visitors. It was hilarious because people thought she would be friendly and then she would bite their hands off. So sometimes she would do this thing where she would bark and run off when our guests entered the house. Later, she would emerge from her hiding spot and slowly and quietly make her way closer to the foreigner in her home. She would jump up onto their leg and act affectionate and sweet and fool our visitor into believing she wanted them to pat her. And when they would try, she would bite them and run off barking. Oh how I loved that. She was the best.
Anyway, that's all. Goodnight.
